Electrocautery is a procedure that uses light electrical current to burn the stalk or targeted tissue area to remove skin tags, moles and cherry angiomas. Depending on the number of skin tags, approximately 1-3 treatments may be needed. Local anesthetic is applied to the treated area before the procedure.
